Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Gen AI Architect (Agentic AI & LLM) to lead architecture and delivery of enterprise AI applications. You will design scalable Generative AI solutions using LLMs, agentic frameworks, and modern distributed systems.

The role involves mentoring engineers, setting architectural standards, and partnering with product and business teams. Remote in the United States with a focus on security, reliability, and measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven success delivering production-grade AI and LLM-powered solutions.
• Deep expertise with Generative AI technologies including OpenAI models and prompt engineering.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, or similar frameworks.
• Strong full-stack background with ReactJS and Node.js.
• Ability to define technical strategy and mentor engineering teams.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in CS/Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enterprise-scale Generative AI applications.
• Design and implement Agentic AI solutions using LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
• Build scalable and fault-tolerant workflow orchestration using Temporal or similar technologies.
• Define AI platform architectures covering model routing, prompt lifecycle management, observability, governance, and production deployment.
• Establish evaluation frameworks for AI solutions and measure business outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from architecture and development through deployment.
• Mentor engineering teams and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
