Job summary

Varsity Tutors seeks GED Math tutors to join our online Live Learning Platform. Teach adult learners remotely, set your own schedule, and earn competitive rates up to $40/hour while building a regular tutoring practice.

You will cover arithmetic, fractions, algebra, geometry, and data analysis, using diagnostic tools and GED materials to tailor lessons. We provide payments twice per week and AI-powered support to enhance instruction.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of GED Mathematical Reasoning content including arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, algebra, geometry, data analysis.
Strategic test-taking and problem-solving with calculator strategies and word-problem translation.
Curriculum awareness and adaptive instruction using GED practice materials to support adult learners rebuilding foundational math skills.
Effective teaching methods: explain concepts with multiple approaches and adapt to learning styles.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.

Responsibilities
