Job summary

iQuasar LLC is seeking a Gateway Automation Engineer to develop, validate, and maintain API-gateway automation components that integrate with Government-approved CI/CD pipelines. This role focuses on gateway-side deployment automation, validation gates, and migration onboarding automation while not owning the enterprise CI/CD platform.

This contract, full-time remote position involves collaboration across Government CI/CD, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, identity, and release teams to ensure

Qualifications

• 4+ years of automation engineering, API gateway engineering, or related roles.
• 2+ years integrating components with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Git, YAML/JSON, scripting, build/deploy automation, and config-as-code.
• Experience with API gateways, middleware, microservices, or integration platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain API-gateway automation components that integrate with Government-approved CI/CD pipelines.
• Create and validate configuration-as-code, deployment artifacts, gateway promotion workflows, and migration automation.
• Support automated checks for API spec quality, governance, Zero Trust, telemetry, and production-readiness evidence.
• Build automation and validation evidence to reduce onboarding effort and ensure compliance prior to production.
• Troubleshoot gateway-side CI/CD integration issues, including deployment and environment promotion problems.
• Support Git-based workflows, artifact repos, and release evidence.
• Coordinate with Government CI/CD, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, identity, network, and release teams.
• Produce pipeline documentation, runbooks, logs, deployment evidence, rollback steps, and knowledge-transfer materials.
