LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Work at Home Bilingual Fuzhou-English Video-Phone Interpreter. This remote position requires interpreting between Fuzhou and English speakers across multiple industries, with pay of $23–$25 per hour. Training is provided, and advancement opportunities exist within the organization.

The role emphasizes quiet, secure home-office setup, high-quality interpretation, and adherence to client protocols during calls, including emergency 911 contexts.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Fuzhou and English with cultural awareness.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking for accurate interpretation.
• Ability to stay neutral and focused on calls including sensitive topics.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Must adapt to LanguageLine technology updates to deliver service.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in the US/Canada.
• US work authorization without visa sponsorship required.
• Reading and writing the languages is highly preferred.
• Post-offer background check/drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to video and audio interpreting sessions promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
• Participate in online, video and audio training sessions.
• Deliver interpretation services via video and accurately type data on a device.
• Render meanings according to interpretation conventions, avoiding omissions/additions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and politeness.
• Maintain professional demeanor during sessions at all times.
• Remain calm during sessions, especially in emergency situations.
• Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours.
• Follow client instructions to meet LEP needs and protect client confidentiality.
• Understand industry terminology across Medical, Insurance, Finance and Law.
