Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Safety Controls Engineer/Functional Safety Consultant to identify and mitigate risks on industrial machinery. This remote role reports to the Manager, Safety Services and can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, performing lockout/tagout audits, safety system design and verification, and leading customer meetings as a subject matter expert. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• US work authorization required (no visa sponsorship).
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to gather knowledge about machine hazards.
• Deliver core safety offerings including risk assessments, lockout/tagout, safety requirements, and safety system engineering.
• Lead customer meetings as a subject matter expert and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Support sales in identifying and qualifying machine safety projects.
