Job summary

Zumper is hiring a mid-level fullstack engineer to own customer-facing features across Django backend and React/TypeScript web apps. You’ll collaborate with product, design, data, and analytics to deliver reliable, maintainable experiences and the services that support them.

You’ll work with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, React/TypeScript, and AWS in a fully remote setup, with a focus on deployment, observability, and production support. This role reports to the Sr. Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional fullstack engineering experience shipping production applications.
• Experience APIs with Python, Django, PostgreSQL and UIs with React/TypeScript.
• Fluency with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-hosted production services.

Responsibilities

• Ship customer-facing features end-to-end across Django backend and React/TypeScript apps.
• Partner with product, design, data science, and engineering to scope work and shape requirements.
• Improve service reliability through instrumentation, monitoring, and CI/CD automation.
• Contribute to deployment tooling and automation using Unix scripting and tooling.
• Review code and participate in technical design discussions with focus on maintainability.
• Use AI coding tools as part of your development workflow.
• Participate in on-call rotation and postmortems for improvements.
