Job summary

Mitek Systems is seeking a Full Stack Engineering Team Lead to guide a full stack team, balancing hands‑on coding with architectural leadership. You will drive technical direction, ensure delivery against priorities, and mentor engineers to raise the bar on quality, security, and scalability.

You’ll work across front‑end, back‑end, and cloud components within a flexible, remote‑first environment that supports in‑person collaboration. Competitive compensation with a bonus and equity is offered.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with mentoring.
• Strong back-end development; Go experience is a plus.
• Strong JavaScript and React SPA experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with AWS services (S3/SQS/ECS/EC2/Lambda) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day technical direction and delivery against priorities.
• Contribute hands‑on to design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Guide architecture across front‑end, back‑end, cloud, and infrastructure.
• Break down complex initiatives into actionable technical work.
• Mentor engineers and strengthen engineering capabilities.
• Review code and reinforce quality, security, and scalability.
• Partner with Product and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and development practices.
• Promote ownership across the application lifecycle.
