Qualifications

• 3–6 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Proven experience shipping full-stack B2C features to thousands of users.
• Experience with typed programming languages and relational databases.
• Professional experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and Postgres or a similar stack.
• Experience in a small, high-growth consumer startup environment.
• Ability to define user problems, write technical specifications, and work with non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with senior engineers and take ownership of product solutions.
• Strong product mindset with focus on user needs and outcomes.
• Genuine interest in social impact and/or an education-focused mission.
• Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Responsibilities

• Own full-stack features end-to-end from problem to production and iteration.
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Write technical specifications and perform thoughtful tradeoffs with senior engineers.
• Work in small cross-functional pods with designers and program leads to launch pilots.
• Build and maintain scalable software across the full technology stack.
• Develop features using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and Postgres.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold high engineering standards.
• Contribute ideas to improve the product and user experience.
• Participate in on-call rotations roughly every 5–7 weeks.
• Improve platform operations and safety tooling.
• Collaborate to deliver reliable solutions for a global user base.
• Iterate on products based on user and stakeholder feedback.
