Job summary

Vets Hired is seeking a Mid-level Full Stack Software Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy responsive web-based business applications. The role requires experience across both front-end and back-end development, including React, ASP.NET, C#, Node.js, relational databases, and cloud-based environments.

The developer will collaborate with project managers, analysts, testers, and software engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/SE
• Active certification such as CSSLP, GCLD, or GSEC is acceptable
• Five years of experience with ASP.NET, React, Node.js, and relational databases
• SECRET-level security clearance required
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent, or ability to obtain within six months
• Experience with C#, JSX/Angular, JavaScript, and T-SQL
• Experience with .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, JS, Node.js, React, MS SQL Server)
• Knowledge of software design patterns
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jira, and Git
• Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects
• Strong communication and IT strategy understanding
• AWS/Azure/SaaS development experience

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end features using React front-end and secure back-end services (ASP.NET)
• Design and develop database layers with Entity Framework Core for SQL Server
• Build and deploy applications using automated CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Optimize performance across front-end and SQL layers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug and address technical debt
• Mentor junior team members and lead feature initiatives when needed
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and estimate story points
• Write automated tests using xUnit, NUnit, Vitest, and React Testing Library
• Perform code reviews to maintain quality, security, and maintainability
• Handle version control and project management throughout the lifecycle
