Job summary

TixTrack is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to help build and improve the nLiven platform, working across frontend and backend with .NET Core and modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Vue. You'll contribute tests and maintain existing systems as the team expands.

We hire at two levels, with early-career engineers starting on well-defined tasks and seniors owning features end-to-end. The role is fully remote for candidates in numerous US states, with potential travel and occasional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional software development experience: Level 1 (up to two years) or Level 2 (two+ years).
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue).
• Backend or API development experience; .NET Core is ideal (or willingness to learn).
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases; data modeling for Level 2.
• Experience with automated testing; unit/integration tests for Level 2.
• Git for version control; solid CS fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build features and fix bugs across the stack, from defined tasks to owned features.
• Write clean, tested code and maintainable designs.
• Read existing code and follow established patterns, making small, safe changes.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to understand problems and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, provide and receive constructive feedback.
• Follow coding standards and propose improvements where needed.
• Investigate and fix bugs and performance issues with senior support when needed.
• Build with security in mind: input validation, authorization, and error handling.
• Add logging, monitoring, and tests to new features for continuous improvement.
• Pair and mob work to share knowledge and bring newer engineers up to speed.
• Update API contracts and design notes when changes occur.
• Contribute to architectural discussions from day-to-day coding perspective.
• Identify friction in tooling/CI-CD and help fix it.
• Participate in production support and incident reviews with teammates.
