Job summary

Renaissance is seeking a Software Engineer II with strong backend experience in .NET Core and frontend experience in React to build and maintain scalable services and APIs. The role focuses on backend development, API implementation, testing, and collaboration with frontend teams, while using AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and code quality.

For this position, a Bachelor's in CS or equivalent, 5+ years of .NET Core/.NET 5+ backend experience, and 4+ years with React/TypeScript are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend development with .NET Core/.NET 5+.
• 4+ years building frontend with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience writing unit tests and familiarity with testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with Git and standard version control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using .NET Core/.NET 5+.
• Implement and consume APIs that support React-based frontend apps.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for backend and frontend components.
• Work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases by querying and consuming data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
