Job summary

Renaissance, a global leader in pre-K–12 education technology, seeks a Software Engineer II with strong .NET Core backend and React frontend skills to build scalable services and APIs. You will design, develop, and test APIs, work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL, and collaborate across teams while leveraging AI-assisted tools to boost productivity.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in .NET Core backend, 4+ years in React, and solid RESTful API experience, with Git and CI/CD knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing backend applications using .NET Core or .NET 5+.
• 4+ years building frontend applications with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience writing unit tests and familiarity with common testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with Git and standard version control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using .NET Core/.NET 5+.
• Implement and consume APIs to support React-based frontend applications.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for backend and frontend components.
• Work with existing SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases by querying data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
