Job summary

Renaissance Learning, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer II to build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using .NET Core, with front-end integration via React. You’ll evolve backend systems, write tests, and leverage AI‑assisted developer tools to boost productivity.

You will work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD and cloud deployments in a remote, US-based team.

Qualifications

• Backend development in .NET Core/.NET 5+ with REST APIs.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and database querying.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud and containerized development (Docker/WAF).
• Knowledge of authentication concepts (OAuth, JWT) and RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Consume APIs for React-based frontend applications.
• Write unit and integration tests for backend and frontend.
• Work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
• Collaborate across teams and participate in code reviews.
