Job summary

Somewhere is seeking a full-stack developer for a remote, full-time role in the US. You will design, build, and maintain web and mobile applications across the full stack, integrating RESTful APIs and microservices, and ensuring secure data handling.

You will work with React.js, React Native, Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Java, and manage databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. Cloud deployment, security, and CI/CD are essential parts of the role.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience as a full-stack developer.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React.js, React Native, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Back-end development with Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Java.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and deploying scalable apps.
• Knowledge of security practices including data protection, authentication and authorization.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work remotely in a distributed team and communicate clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end systems for web and mobile apps.
• Build responsive, high-performance user interfaces with React.js or React Native.
• Develop robust back-end services with Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Java.
