Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a collaborative development team. This contract-to-hire role focuses 70% backend (Java, Ruby on Rails, Golang) and 30% frontend (JavaScript), delivering cloud-based applications on AWS with Kubernetes and Terraform.

You will work across the full SDLC, write scalable backend services, and contribute to deployment automation with Ansible. This fully remote position offers competitive hourly pay in the US market.

Qualifications

• Expert-level software development experience.
• Strong Java development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails (RoR).
• Experience with Golang.
• Strong understanding of full stack development, with an emphasis on backend engineering.
• Experience working with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack software applications.
• Focus primarily on backend development while supporting frontend application functionality.
• Develop backend services and application components using Java, Ruby on Rails, and Golang.
• Build and maintain frontend functionality using JavaScript.
• Contribute to applications running in AWS cloud environments.
• Work with containerized applications and Kubernetes.
• Support infrastructure and deployment automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Collaborate with other engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to scalable, maintainable software solutions.
