Qualifications

• Strong experience in NodeJS and Typescript backend development, including ORM and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AI code assistants like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
• Experience in frontend development focusing on user experience and responsiveness.
• Strong experience in security and privacy: session management, cryptography and token management.
• Proficient in REST design patterns, best practices and testing.
• Expertise in MySQL: database design, optimization, and management.
• Proficiency in integration design and development; patterns like scatter-gather and circuit breakers a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs using NodeJS and Typescript.
• Develop and maintain frontend systems using Typescript.
• Ensure services are scalable, efficient, and aligned within product requirements.
• Design, manage, and optimize SQL databases for performance and reliability.
• Plan and execute database migrations ensuring minimal operational disruptions.
• Enhance database performance by addressing query optimization and indexing.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in backend systems to improve system efficiency.
• Work closely with web design, engineering and product teams to align frontend, backend and database solutions with broader product and business goals.
• Support integration of systems to ensure seamless data flow and operational alignment.
• Contribute to backend reporting capabilities, ensuring data integrity for operational and strategic decision-making.
