Job summary

VMD Corp, a Vision, Mission, and Driven company, seeks a full-stack developer to modernize EPA OTAQ Fuels IT systems. You will work on Java/Spring, Angular/Knockout, and database backends (Oracle/PostgreSQL) within an Agile/SAFe environment, delivering scalable enterprise software for federal operations.

Qualifications

• Expertise in core Java and RESTful web services.
• SQL and data modeling experience with ORM tools (Hibernate/JPA).
• Experience in agile environments and collaboration with teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of federal IT security guidelines and cloud (AWS/Azure).
• Git or other distributed source control experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an agile development team across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software with good customer experience.
• Follow standards for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Update system design documents and review technical requirements.
• Contribute to SDLC improvements including TDD, CI/CD, and automated security scanning.
• Provide operational support and diagnose production issues with secure cloud architectures.
