Job summary

Bold Penguin is seeking a Remote Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain internal apps, developer portals, and APIs that empower engineering and cross-functional teams. You will streamline workflows, build interfaces for ephemeral testing environments in CI/CD pipelines, and construct data integration pipelines.

Responsibilities include creating self-service interfaces, automating processes, and ensuring secure, observable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of engineering experience.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices in cloud-native environments.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases ( PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, MongoDB, Redis ).
• Frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for interactive dashboards.
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and cloud deployments (AWS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
• Knowledge of security/auth standards (OAuth2, OIDC).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications and microservices.
• Build self-service interfaces and automated backend services for CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop robust automated data pipelines across internal systems and third-party services.
• Create responsive UIs and dashboards for real-time visibility into workflows.
• Apply security best practices and implement testing and guardrails.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and tracing for high availability and incident visibility.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to gather requirements and improve tooling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
