Job summary

Mozilla is hiring a Frontend Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team focused on the Firefox Desktop experience across Windows, Linux, and macOS. You’ll guide initiatives, set timelines, and shape frontend architecture while collaborating with Product, UX, QA, and Data Science to deliver high-quality user experiences.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive design system work, and foster an inclusive environment where bold ideas and collaboration are encouraged.

Qualifications

• 4+ years leading engineers across distributed teams.
• Ability to drive technical decisions and triage priorities across engineers.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience with frontend platform initiatives such as design systems and frontend architectural improvements.
• Track record delivering front-end experiences to user-facing products.
• Hands-on with web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Strong communication and relationship-building across ranks and roles.
• Desire to grow as a manager and develop others.
• Able to hire, mentor, empower, develop, and delegate to distributed team members.

• Balance quick delivery with long-term planning across browser experiences.
• Communicate team goals, scope, risks, and delivery timelines clearly.
