Job summary

Mozilla Corporation is seeking an experienced Front End Engineering Manager for Firefox Desktop, with a fully remote US arrangement. You will lead engineers, shape frontend platform initiatives, and drive high‑quality, user‑facing experiences while collaborating with Product, UX, QA, Operations and Data Science.

You will mentor, hire and empower a distributed team, advocate for engineering priorities at senior leadership level, and foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that delivers on

Qualifications

• 4+ years leading engineers in a software development environment.
• Experience driving multiple concurrent projects across distributed teams.
• Frontend platform initiatives experience (design systems, frontend architecture).
• Strong communication and ability to influence senior leadership.
• Experience in open source environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive initiatives to deliver value to users, ensuring high quality, availability, monitoring and maintainability of software.
• Communicate team goals, scope and risks; own delivery on clear timelines.
• Identify and iterate on engineering processes to support a high performing team.
• Engage in regular 1-1s with the team; provide honest feedback on performances.
• Ensure developers are supported and empowered throughout the lifecycle.
• Create an inclusive environment; collaborate with Product, UX, QA, Operations, Data Science.
