Job summary

Billennium is seeking a Software Engineer – Frontend Applications to build scalable, user-friendly interfaces for configuring, launching, monitoring, and analyzing large-scale computational drug discovery workflows.

You will collaborate with AI scientists, engineers, and biologists to deliver features, optimize visualizations, and ensure robust frontend integration with backend services, while adopting modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• B.S., Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computational Physical Sciences, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Experience developing modern web applications using frontend frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and relational databases.
• Experience developing dashboards or interactive visualizations for technical users.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to own technical challenges from start to finish.
• Strong technical communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop user-facing applications for configuring, launching, and monitoring computational drug discovery pipelines.
• Build intuitive visualizations for computational progress, system performance, and scientific results.
• Work directly with researchers to understand workflows, gather feedback, and rapidly develop new features.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain production-quality software using modern engineering practices.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and cross-functional planning with ML scientists, engineers, and biologists.
