Job summary

Peraton Labs is seeking a poly cleared Front-End Developer to join our team in Maryland. You will build compelling, intuitive, and high-performance web applications used across internal R&D efforts and customer-facing demonstrations.

This on-site role requires collaboration with engineers, researchers, and government stakeholders to deliver modern user experiences on top of complex data and prototype systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience and a Bachelor's, 1+ year with a Master's, or a PhD in Computer Science or related field; 7 years total may substitute for a degree
• Experience building applications with HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with React, Vue, or Angular
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs in a full-stack environment
• Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL concepts
• Familiarity with Git-based version control, code review, issue tracking, and CI/CD concepts
• Working familiarity with Python and other programming languages
• Ability to work in a secure, mission-oriented environment and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders and government customers
• US Citizenship with an active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph requirement for this position

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern UIs using HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript for research systems and dashboards
• Improve existing applications by adding capabilities and enhancing usability and performance
• Integrate front-end with backend services via RESTful APIs
• Collaborate on data access patterns and queries for databases/noSQL repos
• Ensure UI workflows meet latency, throughput, and data-fidelity standards
• Assist with testing UI components and prototype workflows
• Identify and propose practical improvements by analyzing user needs and data usage
• Modify software to improve performance, stability, and user experience
• Support technical leadership by leading a feature area or coordinating UI deliverables across a small effort
