Job summary

Astrix Inc. is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer for Scientific Applications to design and build high‑performance web interfaces that drive computational research and drug discovery. This remote role requires availability in Pacific Time and offers a $50/hour pay rate with full‑time, benefits‑included W‑2 contracting.

You will create intuitive dashboards, integrate with backend APIs and databases, and collaborate with AI/ML scientists and computational biologists to support R&D workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in CS/SE/Computational Sciences or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong experience building modern web apps with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience integrating frontend with backend APIs and relational databases.
• Experience developing interactive dashboards for technical users.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain modern web applications linked with backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Create interfaces and user-facing tools for researchers to configure, launch, monitor, and analyze workflows.

• Experience developing interactive dashboards, data-driven interfaces, or visualizations for technical users.

Pay Rate Low: 45 | Pay Rate High: 50

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing software applications for scientific research, engineering, computational biology, chemistry, or other data-intensive technical domains.
• Familiarity with data visualization libraries and frameworks such as D3.js, Plotly, or similar technologies.
