Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is partnering with a fast-growing AI-native fintech startup to build an AI-driven mortgage workflow SaaS. This role owns the product experience from design to code in React/TypeScript, delivering accessible interfaces for complex financial tasks.

You will shape a scalable design system, collaborate with product and engineering, and ship end-to-end features with high ownership in a fast-moving environment. Remote in the US hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Design Engineering or Frontend Engineering.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout).
• Experience building design systems and reusable UI components.
• Strong knowledge of Tailwind CSS and modern frontend tooling.
• Solid understanding of UX, accessibility, and interaction design.
• Experience with complex B2B SaaS or data-heavy products.
• Strong portfolio showing both design and frontend execution.
• Ability to collaborate closely with product and engineering teams.
• Strong product sense and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own product experience from Figma design to React/TypeScript implementation.
• Build clean, accessible interfaces for complex financial workflows.
• Translate dense requirements into simple UX flows and polished UI.
• Build and evolve a scalable design system and component library.
• Develop production-ready React components with strong accessibility standards.
• Partner closely with product and engineering to design and ship features end-to-end.
• Maintain consistency across visual design, interaction patterns, and UI behavior.
• Operate as a high-ownership IC in a fast-moving, product-driven environment.
