Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to contribute to the BAS solution. This role is remote, supporting a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will work with SAC Analytics Designer and modern web technologies to build interactive UI/UX components, review requirements, and improve performance while ensuring scalable, robust front-end applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of software engineering experience across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS)
Experience with REST APIs, XML/JSON data formats
Experience in OO programming/design and debugging
Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team
Public Trust clearance required, US citizenship needed

Responsibilities

Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAC or other web technologies
Review application requirements and interface designs
Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components
Monitor and improve front-end performance
Document application changes and updates
Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility
Optimize web applications for scalability and speed
Participate in code reviews and collaboration
