Job summary

SOUND DECISIONS is hiring a Software Engineer to join a small, high-trust engineering team. This 100% remote role focuses on frontend delivery in a full-stack context, with occasional backend exposure.

You’ll own UI features end to end and collaborate with a backend-leaning team to ship data-driven fintech features. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of professional experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, with Vite experience a plus, and excels in autonomous, iterative development using AI

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience in frontend
• Strong depth in JavaScript/TypeScript and React
• Experience with Vite or modern build tooling is a plus
• Ability to work autonomously in a small-team, startup-like environment
• Familiarity with AI coding tools in a productive, careful way
• Backend exposure (Java/Scala/C#) is a bonus but not required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Own frontend features end to end from UI/UX implementation to shipping using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js and React (Vite)
• Work on UI services that consume backend services and push toward independent handling of tickets
• Collaborate with a small backend-leaning team to integrate frontend work with core product services
• Use AI development tools as part of your workflow while validating your own work
• Operate with real autonomy and quickly implement feedback in a fast-moving environment
