Job summary

Gopher Sport is seeking a Marketer (Digital Content Specialist) to drive digital content strategy, SEO, and GEO initiatives across its brand and product ecosystem. This full-time, in-person role is based in Owatonna, MN and reports to the Digital Presence Team.

You will craft authoritative content, optimize for search and AI results, and measure impact across channels. Ideal candidates have a BA/BS in marketing or related fields, 1+ years of SEO/GEO experience, and strong writing skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Marketing, English, or related degree.
• 1+ years managing SEO/GEO initiatives with track record of performance improvement.
• Proficient writer with proven experience writing useful, highly-discoverable web content across a diverse set of products and industries.
• Experience with Excel using low to mid-level functions (xlookups, powerpivots, etc.) preferred.
• Experience in a B-to-I or B-to-B marketing/advertising department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Producing New Web Content: Research new subject areas, produce new authoritative content, format to maximize discoverability in search and AI-generated results, and launch content to websites on time.
• Improving Existing Content: Manage existing web content; make changes or run experiments to increase user engagement and drive relevant web traffic from search engines and AI chatbots.
• Monitoring Content Performance and Appearance: Monitor the appearance of our brands, products, etc. in search and AI results to ensure they are accurately presented and emphasize the correct content.
• Managing Technical SEO: Ensure the technical elements of all websites are optimized for discoverability. Monitor performance metrics and maintain/fix/address issues.
• Publishing Reporting: Publish clear, accurate reporting on web content production and performance.
