Anthropic is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join our Applied AI team in San Francisco. You will deploy Claude into production with large enterprise customers and research partners, focusing on reliability, safety, and performance.

You will design scalable LLM-powered applications, collaborate with researchers and engineers, and build evaluation pipelines and guardrails tailored to domain-specific use cases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on machine learning and Python.
• Deep familiarity with transformer architectures, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) paradigms.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement scalable LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows for enterprise deployments.
• Collaborate closely with research and engineering teams to identify product bottlenecks and feed insights back into foundation model training.
• Build robust evaluation pipelines, guardrails, and fine-tuning strategies tailored to domain-specific use cases.
