Job summary

IMMERSE is seeking experienced French and English or Spanish language instructors to teach communicative lessons for adult learners using our immersive language learning platform. Instructors teach in small groups up to 12, using immersive environments like meetings, cafés, and workplace scenarios to build real-world fluency.

This fully remote role offers payments per session, paid prep, onboarding and training, and regular weekly availability (11:00am-8:00pm ET).

Qualifications

• BA in French, English, or Spanish Language or related field OR Bachelor's plus teaching certification
• 2+ years of structured French and English or Spanish language teaching experience
• Experience teaching adult learners in group settings of 8+
• Strong foundation in communicative or task-based language teaching
• Advanced French and English or Spanish proficiency (C1 CEFR or ACTFL Advanced High)
• If teaching French and Spanish (not English), minimum B2-level English proficiency is required
• Comfortable using technology and learning new platforms
• Organized, reliable, and professional

The Role

Teach French and English or Spanish to adult professionals in engaging small group sessions using immersive technology.

IMMERSE is a language learning platform that helps adults build real-world fluency through live instruction and immersive technology.

We are seeking experienced French and English or Spanish language instructors to teach communicative lessons for adult learners using our immersive language learning platform.

Learners practice French and English or Spanish in realistic environments such as meeting rooms, cafés, and workplace scenarios, helping them build confidence speaking French and English or Spanish for professional and everyday communication.

This role is ideal for instructors who enjoy working closely with adult learners, facilitating meaningful conversation, and using innovative teaching technology.

Compensation

Compensation is region- and experience-based. In many regions, rates fall within the $15–$25 USD/hour range. Compensation includes:

Current Priority Hours:
11:00am-8:00pm Eastern Time (ET) - Weekends included

What a Typical Session Looks Like

• Facilitate structured French and English or Spanish communicative lessons with adult learners

Required Qualifications

BA in French, English, or Spanish Language, Education, Applied Linguistics, or closely related field OR Bachelor's degree + French and/or English/Spanish teaching certification and extensive teaching experience

Additional requirements:

• 2+ years of structured French and English or Spanish language teaching experience
• Experience teaching adult learners in group settings of 8 or more
• Strong foundation in communicative or task-based language teaching
• Demonstrated ability to develop speaking and listening skills intentionally
• Advanced French and English or Spanish proficiency (C1 CEFR or ACTFL Advanced High)
• If teaching French and Spanish (not English), minimum B2-level English proficiency is required.
• Comfortable using technology and learning new platforms
• Organized, reliable, and professional

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching Business French and English or Spanish professional communication
• Portuguese proficiency

• 8GB RAM
• 10GB available storage
• Ethernet connection required (Wi-Fi-only setups are not supported)
• Minimum 50 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload internet speed
• Wired headset with built-in microphone
