Overheard is seeking a freelance Content Creator to ideate, write, produce, and publish day-to-day pop culture content that feels unmistakably “Overheard.” This role spans editorial, social-first video, and supporting formats to keep the feed fresh, funny, and timely in 2026.

You’ll collaborate with the Editor and Social Leads, pitch new formats, and uphold brand voice across platforms while delivering on deadlines in a fast-moving freelance environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in editorial, social content creation, media, publishing, or related field.
• Exceptional writing with Overheard's voice.
• Strong familiarity with dating culture and online trends.
• Ability to ideate and execute social-first content for multiple platforms.
• Comfort with iPhone shooting and basic editing.

Responsibilities

• Publish original, on-voice content on a consistent schedule.
• Write captions, headlines, copy, and scripts in Overheard voice.
• Shoot, edit, and package short-form videos with consumer gear.
• Develop editorial posts and video formats for pop culture.
• Uphold tone, aesthetics, and writing style across assets.
• Collaborate with Editor, Social Leads, and team.
• Maintain high editorial standards and meet deadlines.
