Job summary

Stripe, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to develop platforms that minimize financial and regulatory risk while preserving a high-quality user experience. You will diagnose production issues across services and the tech stack, and proactively mitigate emerging risk patterns.

You will partner with engineering, product, policy, legal, operations, and data science teams to translate business requirements into tangible software designs and scalable solutions, including fraud-control systems.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree plus five years in software engineering.
• Proficient in Java, Ruby, Python or Go and data-driven analysis with SQL.
• Experience turning business requirements into software designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage platforms to minimize risk while ensuring UX.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across services and tech stack.
• Identify and mitigate emerging risk patterns promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, policy, legal, operations, and data science.
• Work with engineers to build modular fraud control systems.
• Interact with product teams to align roadmap with user needs.
