Job summary

Member Access Processing (MAP) is seeking a MAP Defense Analyst to safeguard client financial transactions and protect sensitive information. You will work with Visa DPS tools and analytics to identify fraud patterns, develop rules, and support risk mitigation initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

The role requires independent analysis of datasets, collaboration with clients and colleagues, and the ability to present clear findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or related discipline preferred.
• Expertise with Visa DPS products and applications.
• Advanced knowledge of payment card fraud and risk mitigation in financial environments.
• Intermediate Excel skills: Pivot Tables, Slicers, VLOOKUP and advanced functions.
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Minimum of five (3) years of experience in Fraud or Risk areas.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and staff.
• Strong presentation skills for stakeholders and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Utilize programming and analytics to detect fraud across multiple channels and mitigate losses.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, detect anomalies, and implement rule strategies.
• Aid in early identification of high-risk activity and compromised card reporting.
• Perform client-specific portfolio analysis including demographics, activity, spend, and scores.
• Support data standards and recommend current and future fraud analytics needs.
• Use Visa Data Manager to develop and implement fraud rules for MAP clients.
• Participate in quarterly risk webinars and client-focused meetings.
• Provide on-call consultation and troubleshooting for MAP clients.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to deploy Flash Fraud/RSM rules and tune outcomes.
• Generate risk scorecards in Visa Data Manager and deliver monthly insights to clients.
• Lead onboarding of new client fraud rules and proactive deployments for high-risk segments.
• Engage in night/holiday/weekend monitoring on a rotating basis.
