Job summary

Wealthfront is hiring a fully remote Fraud Operations Specialist to monitor and investigate daily fraud activity. You will work with Compliance, Engineering, and product teams to strengthen controls and automation, while conducting complex investigations across multiple fraud typologies.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of fraud investigations experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong research and investigation skills, including synthesizing large amounts of information and evaluating transaction data.
• Experience with fraud typologies such as Wire, ACH, Debit Card, Online Account Takeover, Identity Theft, Elder Financial Exploitation, and New Account Fraud.

Responsibilities

• Identify unusual financial activity indicative of fraud and AML concerns.
• Conduct investigations to prevent fraud on the Wealthfront platform.
• Analyze account/transaction history to detect patterns and vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Engineering, and Product to improve controls and automation.
• Prepare findings for stakeholders and support SAR filing considerations.
