Job summary

Clera is seeking a fractional UX/Product Designer to shape the product experience and design standards for the team. As the first designer, you will influence core product surfaces and establish scalable design systems while maintaining high-quality, user-centric outcomes.

The role requires 3+ years shipping consumer or B2B products, a strong portfolio, and experience collaborating with product and engineering. Remote work with flexible hours and a focus on early-stage product growth are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience designing and shipping consumer or B2B products end to end.
• A functional portfolio showing shipped work, problem solving, and clear product impact.
• Experience building design systems and documentation for product teams.
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for high fidelity mockups and prototypes.
• Experience collaborating directly with product and engineering teams, including navigating technical constraints.
• Experience with modern desktop B2B or SaaS products; early stage startup or fractional design experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own design across key product surfaces from early concepts through shipped experiences.
• Establish design systems, standards, and documentation to help the team build consistently.
• Make product and design decisions with limited information and iterate based on user feedback.
• Partner with product and engineering to implement designs and work through technical constraints.
• Use user research, usability testing, and qualitative feedback to inform design choices.
