Job summary

Free The Sheep is seeking a Part-Time, remote Fractional Head of Product Design & Development to lead product strategy and hands-on execution. You will own the design roadmap, coordinate tech packs, samples, and launches with founders, contractors, and manufacturers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in consumer product design, experience with textiles, and a strong track record in PLM, prints, and colorways for direct-to-consumer brands.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in consumer product design, apparel, textiles, or home goods.
• Experience taking physical products from concept through sampling and production.
• Strong creative design skills in prints, patterns, colorways, and product variations.
• Experience with overseas manufacturers, tech packs, materials, and sample development.
• Excellent organization, follow-through, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the product design and development roadmap from concept to launch.
• Collaborate with founders, contractors, suppliers, and operations.
• Develop prints, patterns, colorways, and product variations for new lines.
• Manage tech packs, supplier sampling, and production readiness.
• Drive fast sampling, iterate based on feedback, and keep projects on track.
• Build a rolling launch calendar and coordinate with marketing.
