Job summary

Optum is seeking a Financial Consultant to join our SG&A financial management for Optum Insight, developing enterprise financial reporting, consolidations, bridge analyses, and executive narratives. The role supports UHG leadership with accuracy and strong financial judgment.

You can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.; however, in Minneapolis or Washington, DC, you must be in the office at least four days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 2+ years of finance or accounting experience.
• Solid experience in FP&A, financial reporting, consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to build and improve reporting templates and processes.
• Strong communication and executive storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with finance and business teams to support planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Analyze financial results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive process improvements for reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, Operations, Market, and Product teams.
• Provide insights based on financial and operational data.
• Support monthly/quarterly reviews with material analyses.
• Monitor key metrics and support achievement of financial goals.
• Share knowledge with peers and support team priorities.
