Job summary

Empyrean Solutions seeks a Budgeting & Planning Software Consultant to help banks and credit unions configure the solution, deliver training, and guide clients toward optimal planning and forecasting.

You will translate budgeting objectives into implementable plans, validate data, and enable clients to own reporting while following data governance. This is a remote US role with strong collaboration with the Professional Services team.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics or equivalent experience.
• Experience in banking, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, or financial technology.
• Solid understanding of the banking industry, accounting, and financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• AI literacy and disciplined data governance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver successful implementations of Empyrean's Budgeting and Planning solution from initiation to go-live.
• Translate client budgeting/objectives into an implementable approach for the team to own.
• Configure planning models and forecast logic for accurate results across NIM, non-interest income/expense, capex and payroll.
• Ensure client data is complete, reconciled, and reliable for reporting.
• Enable clients to produce budgets, forecasts and variance reporting across the organization.
• Equip clients to independently administer the solution and build their own reporting.
• Advise on best practices for data management, reporting and FP&A.
• Collaborate with product management to channel client needs into product direction.
• Apply AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and processes over time.
