Big Ideas seeks a meticulous remote Financial Analyst to support a US-based client in the beauty and wellness space. You will handle FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial decision support, transforming data into clear models and narratives.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will work across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale channels, building variance analyses and executive-ready reports while driving automation and data integrity. This is a 3‑month freelance contract with potential renewal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 4–5+ years of proven corporate FP&A, commercial finance, or corporate finance experience.
• Experience supporting omnichannel consumer products, retail, or DTC/e‑commerce brands.
• Strong business background and financial acumen.
• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: FP&A, financial reporting, analytics, or finance shared services (4+ years preferred).
• Intermediate SQL: joins, CTEs, aggregation, window functions.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets; VBA experience.
• Strong VBA: read, debug and extend a macro-driven workbook.
• Able to read a P&L, understand debits/credits, accruals, gross to net revenue, COGS and gross margin.
• Excellent English, both written and spoken.
• Self-starter with ability to document processes for cold execution.
• REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS: NetSuite, BigQuery, data pipelines, and master data ownership.

Responsibilities

• Operate NetSuite and third‑party file loads into BigQuery; monitor schema changes and fix failures.
• Run two‑stage retailer door sales pipeline; reconcile data in Sheets via Apps Script.
• Produce budget vs actual packs by GL account, dept and channel; draft variance commentary.
• Maintain pricing, profitability models, and monthly/ quarterly FC; ensure data integrity.
• Onboard new master data; maintain internal reporting portal and KPI mappings.
• Support ad hoc analytics, automation, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
