Job summary

BuildShare is launching a Private Equity & M&A Division to acquire and partner with established construction companies, modernizing them with an AI platform and lean management. We seek the founding partner to lead from day one and share in the value created.

This is a founding-partner role, with upside including profit participation, carried interest, and a base salary of $150,000 per year beginning after the close of the first acquisition. BuildShare is fully remote with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in private equity, M&A, investment banking or corporate development.
• Strong valuation, underwriting, financial modeling and deal structuring skills.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using AI tools in daily work.
• An entrepreneurial, owner's mindset: you want to build a division and share in its results.
• Clear communicator with owners, investors and operators.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal sourcing and build a qualified acquisition pipeline.
• Analyze, underwrite and value target companies.
• Design private equity structures and the capital stack for each deal.
• Build financial models and investment analysis for partners and investors.
• Run due diligence, from financials to operations.
• Develop relationships with investors, investment firms and funds backing the plan.
• Plan post-close integration onto the BuildShare platform, keeping existing managers in place.
• Help build the division's team as it grows.
