Job summary

Giga Energy is hiring a Forward Deployed Product Engineer Internal Tools & Automation to build the internal products that keep a fast-growing physical operation moving.

You will learn how work actually happens, define the records and ownership that make it reliable, and work hands-on with Giga’s software builders to turn fragmented handoffs and repetitive work into focused systems, integrations, automations, and AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a cross-functional workflow from start to delivery and adoption.
• Strong process-discovery skills to uncover undocumented rules and ownership gaps.
• Fluency with relational data: entities, joins, lifecycles, data quality.
• Ability to write and review SQL to inspect and validate operational data.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, authentication, events, or webhooks.
• Good product judgment to scope useful releases and prioritize work.
• Experience partnering with engineers while owning business outcomes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with operators, leaders, and technical teams remotely.
• Hands-on workflow automation experience, incl. AI-assisted tools.

Responsibilities

• Discover and document critical workflows with operators.
• Define core records, lifecycle states, owners, decision rules, and exceptions.
• Use SQL and data inspection to reconcile records and test assumptions.
• Map information flow across systems, spreadsheets, APIs, and documents.
• Prototype deterministic automation and AI-assisted workflows.
• Release sequencing and acceptance criteria documentation.
• Partner with engineers on architecture and adoption.
• Lead rollout, migration, and support planning.
• Measure release impact on cycle time, accuracy, and visibility.
• Maintain proper permissions and data-handling controls.
• Build focused roadmaps based on business value and readiness.
• Keep stakeholders aligned through concise decisions.
