Job summary

Manulife Investment Management Timberland and Agriculture (MIMTA) is seeking an Analyst to support the II & NCS team in forest carbon project development, data management, and documentation. You will work with senior staff to execute structured tasks across carbon project development, data handling, and verification processes.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, technical rigor, and clear, repeatable workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in forestry, natural resources, environmental science, or related field.
  • 1–2+ years experience in forest carbon or related quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Strong geospatial and analytical skills including GIS tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS.

Responsibilities

  • Support forest carbon project development through technical and data-driven workstreams under supervision.
  • Gather, organize, and manage geospatial and quantitative datasets (project boundaries, remote sensing).
  • Conduct CPA and related spatial analyses with oversight.
  • Maintain geospatial data systems and file structures.
  • Develop maps and geospatial outputs for project documentation (GHG Plans, PDDs).
  • Prepare materials for validation and verification processes, including data rooms and issue tracking logs.
