Job summary

Search Partner Group, LLC seeks a Forensic Structural Engineer (Level II) to join our national engineering team in Minneapolis, MN. This role balances field investigations with rigorous analysis and reporting, with remote work flexibility within a 3-hour radius of regional client sites.

You will evaluate damage, determine root causes, and deliver defensible, high-quality reports. Candidates should have a civil/structural engineering degree, a P.E.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil/Structural Engineering degree.
• P.E. license in Minnesota or eligible via reciprocity.
• 2+ years forensic or related structural engineering experience.
• Experience with roof inspections at sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities.
• Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork including roof inspections and confined space environments.
• Preferred: experience in forensic investigations or exposure to litigation support.

Responsibilities

• Field Investigations: conduct site inspections to assess structural damage.
• Root Cause Analysis: evaluate failure mechanisms and conclusions.
• Technical Reporting: prepare clear, concise, defensible reports with attention to detail.
• Client Interaction: communicate findings to clients and project stakeholders.
• Project Ownership: manage assignments independently within a team of experts.
