Haag, a Salas O’Brien Company, seeks an experienced Forensic Structural Engineer III for a remote (home office) role serving the Columbus, OH area. You will investigate structural damage sources, analyze failures, and deliver professional reports for complex storms, fires, design defects, and other events.

The role requires PE licensure in Ohio (or eligibility), 2+ years in forensic engineering, strong writing and communication, and willingness to travel locally or nationally as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of forensic engineering experience required.
• PE license in Ohio or eligibility by reciprocity.
• Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
• Strong technical writing and report-writing skills essential.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to determine cause, origin, and extent of structural damage.
• Develop clear, well‑supported conclusions and produce high‑quality technical reports.
• Provide timely updates to clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Work independently from a home office while leveraging internal resources.
• Drive issues to resolution and ensure deliverables meet standards and client expectations.
