Job summary

CBIZ is seeking a seasoned Forensic Accountant to lead client engagements in forensic accounting, valuation and economic modeling. The role requires supervisory experience, CPA certification, and the ability to manage multiple engagements with strict deadlines.

Travel may be required as part of client service delivery. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with 8 years in public accounting or related field, plus a Master’s in Accounting and CPA certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
• 5 years supervisory experience.
• Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary valuation, forensic, and appraisal analyses with data input for expert exhibits.
• Apply knowledge of statutory and family codes in forensic accounting work.
• Participate in client engagements from start to finish.
• Create forensic and economics models for presentations.
• Identify case issues and communicate improvements to managers and partners.
• Assist discovery team in inventorying and reconciling documents for court submissions.
• Prepare exhibits and background information for expert testimony.
• Maintain professional standards and client confidentiality.
• Mentor and develop staff while monitoring engagement status and profitability.
