Job summary

CBIZ is seeking a forensic accounting professional to perform preliminary valuation, forensic analyses, and data preparation for expert exhibits in a litigation setting. You will work on client engagements from start to finish, building financial models and adhering to strict confidentiality and professional standards.

The role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of GAAP and taxation, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred (accounting, taxation or related field).
• CPA eligible; certification pursuit encouraged.
• Internship experience in accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary valuation, forensic, and appraisal analyses with data input for exhibits.
• Understand accounting framework, tax law, and audit methodologies in litigation contexts.
• Develop knowledge of statutory and family codes relevant to accounting principles in forensic work.
• Participate in client assignments from start to finish.
• Create forensic and economic models for presenting conclusions.
• Execute complex procedures within standard accounting systems.
• Identify and communicate issues and opportunities with senior staff to resolve client problems.
• Assist discovery team to inventory and reconcile documents for court submissions.
• Prepare exhibits and background information for expert testimony.
• Maintain highest professional standards and client confidentiality.

Education

Bachelor's degree

Master's degree in accounting, Taxation or related field

CPA eligible

Internship experience in accounting or related field preferred

Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
