Job summary

Fishwife Tinned Seafood Co. seeks a highly experienced Food Safety & Quality Manager to own the program end-to-end, including seafood HACCP, importer verification, COA review, and recall readiness. This remote, full-time role reports to Product Development & Quality.

You will drive supplier approvals, audits, and product safety testing, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, FSMA, and traceability across the supply chain while supporting a growing premium line of tinned seafood.

Qualifications

• Notion, Google Workspace, and QA systems familiarity required.
• Experience preparing for and hosting third‑party, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Exceptional organization and documentation skills for heavy paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and reassess the food safety plan and quality management system, including importer obligations under FDA seafood HACCP and FSMA.
• Own recall readiness: plan, lead recall team, and run mock recalls annually.
• Maintain traceability from cannery to customer and implement regulatory changes into action.
• Review COAs and production records for releases and holds; document decisions.
