Job summary

Center for Science in the Public Interest seeks a Campaign Manager to lead state and federal advocacy campaigns advancing strong food safety standards and regulation. The role involves developing strategies, drafting advocacy materials, and coordinating with regulators and coalition partners.

The position supports flexible hybrid/remote work within the United States and reports to the Director of Regulatory Affairs, contributing to impactful public health protections.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to public-interest advocacy and consumer protections.
• Substantial experience with state or federal policy advocacy, including congressional and regulatory advocacy.
• Experience implementing and supporting successful policy/advocacy campaigns and maintaining partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and implementation of strategies to advance food pathogen safety and policies.
• Support campaign strategies for dietary supplement safety.
• Engage in policy design and target development for regulatory reforms.
• Build relationships with coalition partners and regulators at FDA, USDA, CDC.
• Create high-quality written advocacy materials (regulatory comments, testimony, fact sheets, op-eds).
• Engage with lawmakers and regulators in collaboration with CSPI teams.
• Ensure high-quality work product and peer review.
• Carry out other departmental activities as needed.
