Job summary

Babson College seeks a part-time FME Auditing & Accounting Mentor for the Undergraduate Experiential Learning & Academic Excellence office. Mentors support FME sections, assist with deposits, banking hours, and venture financial questions, and help prepare and close financials during the FME course.

Positions run Oct 2026–May 2027 with set hours, typically 6–10 per week. Training and regular check-ins are provided to ensure accurate guidance and compliance with college policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to create an environment where direct reports have the freedom and security to take initiative and pursue solutions.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be proficient with Google Drive/Docs and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Calendar).

Responsibilities

• Remain in good standing with the College through selection, training, and contract periods.
• Exemplify professionalism in the classroom and role model student behavior.
• Maintain timely communication with Undergraduate Experiential Learning team and FME Faculty.
• Attend trainings and meetings for the mentor position.
• Establish relationships with staff, mentors, and students.
• Assist with banking and business hours by collecting deposits and answering questions.
• Meet ventures bi-weekly checks during the Spring semester.
• Collaborate with mentors to ensure students are comfortable with deliverables.
• Maintain professional intrapersonal relationships and avoid inappropriate conduct.
