Job summary

Microsoft is seeking a Pilot to join the Flight Simulator team as a subject matter expert. This remote role collaborates with Test, Engineering and Production teams to ensure accuracy of aircraft in the simulator.

Core hours are 9am–3pm PST, Monday through Friday, with 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have real-world helicopter and fixed-wing experience and at least a private pilot license; familiarity with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a combination of helicopter and fixed-wing pilot experience.
• Must have at least private pilot license.
• Flight Simulation hours will not count towards FAA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide aviation feedback to engineering teams as SME for Flight Simulator.
• Partner with Test, Engineering and Production teams to ensure realism of aircraft in the simulator.
• Guide and answer questions for team members who are not pilots, using strong communication.
