Job summary

Stedi is building a healthcare-focused, API-first clearinghouse and seeks a Software Development Manager to lead the Eligibility Team. You will guide engineers building scalable real-time APIs for millions of patient eligibility checks monthly, while shaping the future of healthcare infrastructure.

You will mentor a high-performing team, manage workloads, and coordinate with Product and Customer Operations to deliver high-quality features securely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years in a management role.
• 2+ years working with AWS services.
• Exceptional written communication skills; synthesize complex ideas clearly.
• Proven experience fostering collaboration in a remote-first environment.
• Ability to cultivate a high-performing, multi-tasking team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team to new heights with ambitious pace and high quality.
• Manage daily engineering workflows, timelines and resources for efficient delivery.
• Align engineering deliverables with customer needs; partner with Product & Customer Ops.
• Increase accountability with clear performance expectations and regular reviews.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost operational efficiency.
• Coordinate operational readiness for incidents and compliance; oversee run-books and security practices.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote technical excellence.
